SELLAN MORTERO is a preparation that utilizes epoxy resins and quartz filler to create a structure with exceptional adhesion and high resistance to abrasion. It is also capable of withstanding extreme temperatures and chemical agents.
The pavement created with Sellan Mortero can be used for pedestrian traffic after 24 hours, for light vehicle traffic after 2 days, and for forklift traffic after 5 days. Total hardening occurs after 7 days.
In terms of mechanical resistances, Sellan Mortero has a compression strength of 1800 kg/cm2 according to ASTM C-306-55, a flexion strength of 480 kg/cm2 according to ASTM C-293-57 T, and a traction strength of 100 kg/cm2 according to ASTM C-190-58.

To prepare the seal mortar, you will need one part of catalyzed base and seven to eight parts of quartz with a granulometry between dust and 1.2 mm. It is important to ensure that the particle distribution is linear, with no gaps. This mixture should be homogenized using a vertical paddle homogenizer or manually.
Before adding the quartz, it is recommended to apply a small layer of anchor coat as a primer using a brush to cover the entire surface where the Sellan Mortar will be spread.
Once the anchor coat is applied, the mortar seal can be poured onto the surface while the anchor layer is still sticky. This should be done between 15 minutes to 1-1/2 hours after application.
The mortar seal should be extended with a ruler on 4-6 mm tracks and any imperfections should be smoothed and corrected using a trowel. If the pavement will be subjected to strong chemical attacks, it is recommended to apply a final coat of Sellan Resin.
