This is an energetic gel stripper designed specifically for cleaning and passivating weld joints, weld seams, and sheet metal surfaces made of stainless steel. It is suitable for use with MMA, MIG/MAG, and TIG welding processes.
To use the product, use the special brush included in the pack to apply it directly to the area. The product is thick, which helps it adhere to the surface, allowing you to work both horizontally and vertically. However, it's important to avoid contact with any metals other than stainless steel (AISI 304, 316, and similar) or their alloys.
Before applying the product, shake the bottle and use the brush to apply a uniform layer to the area you want to treat. The exposure time will vary depending on the thickness of the weld and the type of stainless steel. For austenitic steels like 17-4, 304, and AISI 316, exposure time should be between 10-15 minutes. For alloys like 455 and 589, it should be around 25 minutes.
Once the exposure time has elapsed, carefully clean the area with a natural, plastic, or wire brush and plenty of water. Make sure there is no residue left in the treated area.
