Waste materials found in drains and sewage systems are mainly composed of the organic constituents of the food: carbohydrates, proteins, fats and fibers. The natural distribution of these organic wastes depends on the bacteria. Bacteria can be divided into two groups: aerobic, which require oxygen for their biological processes, and anaerobic, which do not require it. Most systems that require both the presence and absence of air, both types of bacteria are necessary for the digestion and decomposition of waste. The waste material is formed first by insoluble solids or colloidal suspensions which the bacteria can not ingest. The solubilization of this solid waste should be performed outside the bacterial cells by the action of enzymes secreted by the bacteria. Enzymes are protein biocatalysts produced by all living cells which catalyze specific biochemical reactions that convert carbohydrates, fats and proteins into products necessary for cellular metabolism. Once the cellular metabolisms are produced, the bacteria multiply segregate more enzymes that direct more waste material. In essence, a biological chain reaction begins that can continue until the organic matter has disappeared. Modern sanitation methods of food preparation are designed to sterilize and eliminate bacteria and natural enzymes from food. In addition many detergents contain strong bactericides and alkalis. FOSEC ZYMA was formulated to complete the low level of enzymes and bacterial flora in the wastes of our days. FOSEC ZYMA contains enzymes as well as aerobic and anaerobic bacteria capable of cleaning piping systems by digestion of organic clogging. FOSEC ZYMA accelerates the natural biological process of destruction of organic material in the private dwelling and municipal cleaning systems.

FOSEC ZYMA contains several enzymes that break and solubilize waste materials by providing the necessary food for the multiplication and rapid growth of bacteria.
Amylases : These enzymes break down the materials contained in the starch and convert them into water-soluble products. Vegetables and grains contain significant amounts of starch. The typical FOSEC ZYMA assay is 16,000 units of Maltose / g. habitually.
Proteases : These enzymes direct the proteins. Meats and cheeses are rich in protein. With FOSEC ZYMA 24 Northrop units are tested per gram in the usual way.
Lipases : These fat-destroying enzymes originate water-soluble products from the typical fats found in bacon, butter, etc. The typical FOSEC ZYMA assay is 11 Lipase / gram units in the usual way.
Cellulose : Cellulose fibers from paper and vegetables often form tangles in the pipes, obstructing the passage of other materials and limiting the capacity of the system. FOSEC ZYMA contains cellulolytic enzymes that help eliminate this problem. The typical assay is 2 units of cellulose / g.
Activators : The addition of certain materials increases the activity of the enzymes. The activators contained in FOSEC ZYMA are such as, strong salts and humectants that catalyze and accelerate decomposition reactions.
Humidifying agents : FOSEC ZYMA contains humectants to increase contact between the enzyme and waste materials.

A large number of products are manufactured for the cleaning of drains and treatment of waste water. The exaggerated properties attributed to these products are countered with common sense and are the result of limited experience and knowledge. Enzymes and bacteria are not magic. They do not work miracles, but they can solve many cleaning problems if they are used according to the following instructions..

FOSEC ZYMA is a valuable auxiliary in any system designed for the treatment of organic waste materials and can be used in wastewater treatment facilities of municipalities as well as in private industry. Treatment systems range from complicated treatments to simple lagoons and settling tanks. Often, the residue consists of one or two materials and the volume and flow of these systems varies considerably. It is difficult to make specific recommendations for the use of FOSEC ZYMA because there are factors that go beyond our control. As a starting point in the evaluation of FOSEC ZYMA we recommend the following:

Ponds : 0.6 kg/50 m3 (every 2 weeks)
Sewage pits : 1-1,5 g/Kg.
Manure pits : 1,0 Kg/ 50 m3
Grease separators : 3,75 g/liter (every week)
Septic tanks : 30 g/m3.

Drain pipes from sinks, showers, toilets, sinks, often accumulate, solids at the elbows and joints resulting in reduced flow and unhygienic conditions. Fat separators installed to collect oils, solid fats, starches and proteins must be manually cleaned at frequent intervals in order to maintain adequate flow. Without a certain drain is running slowly, a full tablespoon of FOSEC ZYMA dissolved in a cup of warm water should be put into the drain at a time when the drain will not be used for a few hours. Long contact time is adequate and treatment is ideal throughout the night. If caustic chemicals have been used in an attempt to clean the drain. The substances used in these formulas interfere with the natural digestion of waste and must be eliminated. After flushing, treatment with FOSEC ZYMA is followed as described in the preceding paragraph. Cleaning a drain that is completely obstructed presents serious problems. First try to create some flow in the drain using an auxiliary utensil or similar device. Dissolve two full tablespoons of FOSEC ZYMA in a cup of warm water and pour it into the drain. The weekly treatment with FOSEC ZYMA described above will restore the complete flow of drains and prevent future obstructions.

When cleaning drains in multi-storey buildings, you should start the treatment on the lowest level and continue floor to floor until you reach the last level. If treatment is started on the higher floor, the increased flow rate may flood lower levels. Septic systems and other wastewater treatment The proper mode of operation of septic systems is based on the principle of retention of the residues until the solid materials can be directed by the bacteria. It is a suitable operating system, only the solubilized materials flow from the tank. Modern homes require too much of these systems, pushing them to the limit of their capabilities. If insufficient bacterial action occurs in a septic system, the solid materials will be discharged into the drainage field. The porosity and consequently, the effectiveness of this field will be reduced. Often an efficient mode of operation in a septic system can be restored by FOSEC treatment ZYMA provides additional bacteria and an environment that are most suitable for the growth of these bacteria. The weekly treatment previously described can ensure adequate drainage as well as efficient waste treatment.

FOSEC ZYMA has been used successfully for many years. Here are some uses and report on their effectiveness.

Using 1.5g of FOSEC ZYMA 1 kg of dead chickens produced a rapid descent of the carrion. The carcass liquefies and is absorbed by the soil leaving only the skin and bones. During the 17 or 20 days of decomposition, the bad odor of the decomposition process is completely eliminated.

Overloaded oxidation ponds do not have sufficient oxygen and have a B.O.D. Abnormally high. As a result, foul odors emerge from the ponds. Economically, water is wasted and can not be used for agriculture needs. Introducing FOSEC ZYMA you can reduce the B.O.D. Due to the increase of the oxidation and in this way the malodor is eliminated and there are possibilities to use the water for agricultural purposes.

Most slaughterhouses have problems constantly with the high fat content of the waste, which causes obstructions and constant flow in the slaughterhouse pits. These pits are generally cleaned once a week by hand or by pumping. This cleaning is unpleasant and costly. Introducing a blend of FOSEC ZYMA with 25% pancreatic Lipase 250, cleaning costs fall by 50-75%.
